Bookd Finance Ltd takes compliance with data protection, anti-money laundering and professional standards requirements seriously. This statement summarises our approach.

Data protection

Bookd Finance Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration reference ZC099980 and processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Anti-money laundering (AML)

Bookd Finance Ltd is in the process of completing AML supervision registration as required for businesses providing bookkeeping and payroll services under the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017. Client onboarding may include identity verification and business checks as required.

Bookd does not assist with, facilitate, or process payroll or CIS information it has reason to believe is connected with tax evasion, false records, fraudulent schemes, or any unlawful activity. We reserve the right to terminate any engagement where such concerns arise and to make relevant disclosures to the National Crime Agency (NCA) as required by law.

Client responsibilities

Payroll and CIS services are delivered based on information provided by the client. Clients are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete payroll and employee data
• Notifying Bookd of all starters, leavers and changes in a timely manner
• Providing accurate CIS subcontractor details and payment information
• Ensuring payments to HMRC are made on time using the figures provided
• Maintaining their own statutory employment and payroll records

Bookd Finance Ltd accepts no liability for errors or penalties arising from inaccurate, incomplete or late information supplied by the client.

Professional standards

Mark Taylor, the operator of Bookd Finance Ltd, holds the ICB Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping and the ICB Level 3 Diploma in Payroll Management, awarded by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. Continuing professional development is maintained in accordance with ICB requirements.

Professional indemnity insurance

Bookd Finance Ltd holds professional indemnity insurance in connection with the payroll and CIS services it provides.

HMRC connectivity

Bookd Finance Ltd operates as a production-connected payroll agent for RTI submissions. All RTI Full Payment Submissions are made directly to HMRC’s live production environment.
